  1. Age of Taxicabs - Amendment of 31 DCMR §609.1 (Increasing the age of company-owned taxicabs from 8 to 10 years)
  2. Credit Card Usage - to prohibit the imposition of a surcharge for passenger use of a credit card
  3. Increase the penalty for failure of a taxicab operator to report a change of information within five (5) business days. Penalty increased from $25 to $100 and collection will be at the time of renewal
  4. Amend Chapter 12 of 31 DCMR to include a penalty for failure of a limousine operator to report a change of information within 5 business days. The penalty will be collected at the time of renewal in the amount of $100
  5. Amend 31 DCMR § 825.1, the schedule of fines, to increase the penalty for failure to notify the office of information change from $25 to $100

Public Hearing:
  1. Proposed rulemaking: To change the Commission meeting date and time from the first Tuesday at 9:45 am to the second Wednesday at 10 am
  2. Proposed rulemaking: To approve the transfer of ownership of National Cab Company and Luna Cab Company to the owner(s) of USA Cab Company, Elite Cab Company, Highland Cab Company, and Reliable Cab Company. Following the transfer, National's name and colors will remain unchanged and Luna's colors will remain unchanged, but its name will change to Freedom Cab Company.
